The leadership at Manchester Bidwell Corporation congratulates MCG Jazz Executive Producer and Vice President, Marty Ashby, recently honored with the 2025 DownBeat Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award for Presenting Jazz, recognizing nearly four decades of his work preserving, presenting, and promoting this art form. His story is featured in the November 2025 issue of DownBeat Magazine on page 68 in a profile titled “The Musician as Presenter.”
From producing more than 2,000 concerts and 70-plus recordings (including multiple GRAMMY® winners) to mentoring emerging artists and buildingone of the country’s most respected and longstandingjazz subscription series, Marty’s leadership has shaped MCG Jazz into the creative home it is today.​​
