SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, the Donor Relations Specialist works to develop, manage, and implement comprehensive giving strategies that build and sustain Manchester Bidwell Corporation’s base of supporters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not strictly limited to, the following:
• Uses donor data, insights, and research to inform the creation of donor prospect pipelines and cultivation plans.
• Proactively develops relationships with current and potential donors, managing a portfolio of prospects with the goal of increasing gift level and/or frequency.
• Creates plans for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities, including promoting planned giving opportunities.
• Has primary donor services responsibilities, including management of department CRM (currently Salsa), recording and acknowledgement of gifts, and other constituent-related information.
• Executes all direct mail and online fundraising appeals.
• Supports the Senior Director of Development in annual Board of Directors solicitation.
• Manages digital donor communications and solicitations in cooperation with Communications staff.
• Assists in the planning and execution of special events, including Day of Giving activities.
• Exhibits understanding and internalization of company values: influence, respect, listen, shape, and embrace.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; 3-5 years of relevant fundraising experience, including an understanding of developing and cultivating donor relationships, successfully securing gifts, and related support processes. Experience with fundraising CRM software is strongly preferred. MS Office skills are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The worker must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the worker is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The worker is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. The worker is required to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer screen, reading, and preparing and analyzing documents. Light to moderate lifting may be required. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
