SUMMARY:
Organizes annual giving and donor initiatives, manages donor database, participates in the cultivation and solicitation of donors, and provides general operational or strategic support to other Development Department activities.

Assists the Sr. Director of Development in planning, organizing, and facilitating departmental activities.

Has primary donor services responsibilities, including:
-
Manages Salsa CRM database, maintaining accuracy and consistency of donor information, including entering donations and information.

Manages acknowledgement process.
-
Assists donors in making gifts through various vehicles.

Produces reports from Salsa CRM database.

Reconciles monthly donor reports with Finance department.

Organizes and implements donor cultivation and recognition activities and assists in researching donor prospects.

Assists in the planning and execution of special events, including sponsor-hosted concert dinners.

Interviews program alumni and composes stories for biannual donor appeals.

Manages EITC and Day of Giving activities.

Manages electronic donor communications and solicitations in cooperation with Communications staff.

Manages sponsorship solicitations for program events and completes sponsor benefits fulfillment.

Assures timely submission of expense reports and maintains general office operational supplies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; minimum of two years experience supporting development efforts within a nonprofit organization, including an understanding of developing and cultivating donor relationships and related support processes required. Experience with Salsa or other fundraising database software preferred. Strong MS Office skills are also required.

The employee is occasionally required to operate a car, van, or minivan and must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and an insurable driving record.
