(PITTSBURGH) - This summer, MCG Jazz and Tusca Mediterranean Tapas restaurant will partner to present live jazz and unique food in the South Side Works as part of the Duquesne Light Summer Jazz Series. Every Wednesday evening beginning on June 6, the MCG Jazz Quartet will perform two shows, at 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in Pittsburgh’s most popular new tapas restaurant and bar.

For the first time in over ten years, the MCG Jazz “Family Band” Quartet will reunite at Tusca: featuring trombonist Jay Ashby, taking a break from touring with Paul Simon, The Dizzy Gillespie™ All-Star Big Band and others; guitarist Marty Ashby, who has been busy performing with Japanese musicians in a new project with the Japan Society; bassist Dwayne Dolphin, squeezing in performances between his Piccolo Bass Band funk project and a European tour with Fred Wesley; and the in-demand Pittsburgh drummer and leader of the RH Factor, Roger Humphries. MCG Jazz celebrates the prelude to its 21st Season of “Many Cultures: One Voice” in the authentic Mediterranean setting.

MCG Jazz Club members receive 10% off the food portion of their dinner bill.
