Bayview Hunters Point Center for Arts & Technology (BAYCAT)

Located in Bayview Hunters Point, BAYCAT inaugurated its new space in the fall of 2004. BAYCAT is an innovative social enterprise that inspires and equips underserved Bay Area youth and adults to improve the quality of their lives and that of their communities. BAYCAT utilizes arts and technology as powerful educational tools to build self-esteem, revitalize creativity, and instill motivation.

While arts and technology programming educates and empowers individuals, BAYCAT’s enterprise arm will transform individual potential into economic opportunities for individuals as well as for the community. Through classes in filmmaking, TV broadcasting, graphic and Web design, BAYCAT empowers youth, adults, and families to become enduring learners and to find the courage to better themselves and their underserved communities at the same time.
